Backstop Media is a partnership that consists of:

Troy Mott received his M.A. degree from Sonoma State before working in the technical publishing industry for over ten years. He started as an Editorial Assistant at O'Reilly Media and worked his way up to Executive Editor. During this time he co-authored Windows power user books (see O'Reilly author bio) with Tim O'Reilly, and learned everything he knows about hard core editing from Tim. Troy enjoys working with authors and helping to create high quality polished content. Here is recent article Troy wrote about Firefox tabs (browser of choice).

Bob Herbstman received his B.A. in English from Williams College and his M.A. in Communications from Loyola Marymount University. He has worked in technical publishing for more than eight years. He started as an editorial assistant at O'Reilly & Associates and co-edited several books, including /Applescript in a Nutshell/ and /Windows XP in a Nutshell/. He has edited hundreds of pieces for IBM developWorks and is proficient in working with XML and in creating and manipulating illustrations.

Tyler Anderson recieved both his B.S. in Computer Science in 2004 and his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2005 from Brigham Young University. Tyler has worked with Stexar Corporation as a Design Engineer, R&D, since May 2005 to August 2006 when Stexar died. Since Tyler was "discovered" by Backstop Media LLC in early 2005 he has written and coded numerous articles and tutorials for IBM Developer Works and AMD's portal on DevX.
